Hope, Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering
minimal-cost lodging and supportive services to families of children
receiving medical care away from home. Children's
Hope Hospitality House serves families regardless of race, gender,
religious or political affiliation. No family will be turned away
based on inability to pay.

Provides medical and dental clinics staffed by volunteer physicians
and dentists. Special clinics include podiatry, health screening,
blood pressure clinics, dietary counseling, pulmonary clinic, diabetic
club, children's dental sealant and educational classes. Other health
services include blood pressure checks, stitch removal, prescription
assistance, authorized lab and x-ray assistance, eye care and patient
advocacy. Since October 13, 1998 the clinic provides prostate and
genitourinary disorders screening and consultations.
Dental services are available by appointment and are scheduled as
volunteers are available. Call the office for more information about
special clinics and office hours.
Eligibility Requirements: Based upon household income. Intake procedures:
Clients must complete intake procedures, including statement of income
and social security number.

(NHCI) is a not-for-profit health center which offers an array of
health care services including full family medical and dental care,
pediatric care, women’s health care, pregnancy care, and the
Women’s, Infant & Children (WIC) nutritional supplement
program. Additional medical services include physical exams, immunizations,
pregnancy tests, family planning, lab tests, x-rays, nutritional planning,
Sickle Cell testing, social services, ultrasounds, and referrals.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, our doctors, nurses, dietitians,
dentists, and dental hygienists are fully certified and licensed to
provide family medical and dental care. We see our patients by appointment.
While our medical and dental services are not free, for those patients
who do not have insurance, we use a Sliding Fee Scale that allows
those with limited income to pay at a reduced fee. NHCI is dedicated
to providing the best health and dental care possible to meet the
needs of our community, and to do so in an effective and efficient
manner with respect and sensitivity to those being served.

The clinics provide not only acute-care services, but a lot of health
education. Some of the programs offered include smoking cessation,
diabetic education and aerobic classes.
Alzheimer's
Association-Fort Wayne: A local, non-profit support group
dedicated to supporting caregivers of Alzheimer and dementia
patients. They maintain an office in the United Way Building,
227 E. Washington Blvd., Suite 301, where caregivers are welcome
to come browse the library to check out Alzheimer and caregiver-related
books. There are also available free pamphlets and brochures
on various Alzheimer/caregiver topics. Office hours are Monday-Friday
8:30AM to 5:00PM.

reopened at 2901 N.Clinton Street. The fully supervised center
